The Estate and the Vineyard
This cuvée comes from the Gonfrier vineyards, in a clay and sandy terroir and the oldest in Bordeaux. They have developed a winemaking merchant activity since 1997. The winemaking and ageing of the Marquis de Bern wines are carried out on their site in the Chais de Rions.
In 1253, the "Marquis" had a military command in the ancient medieval city of Rions and its island of "Grand Bern". This cuvée pays tribute to the local history that contributed to the development of Bordeaux wines.
