The Estate and the Vineyard
The Château Haut Selve is the only creation of the 21st century in Bordeaux. The objective is to create a large vineyard on the land of a very beautiful and great reputation, having been ravaged by phylloxera in the nineteenth century. Everything was created from the vineyard plantations to the creation of the winery.
The history of the Lesgourgues family begins in 1974. The 3rd generation, succeeding Maurice and Jean Jacques Lesgourgues, invested in domain management.
The Family now has five estates to its credit, four of which are fully owned, notably in the Graves, the Madiran, the Bas-Armagnac, as well as the Côtes de Blaye, in which the Family directs and controls commercial policy as well as winemaking.
Tradition and innovation are the key words that guide the family business.
