Fleur de Pédesclaux 2020 is an elegant and refined red wine, offering a beautiful tannic structure and great complexity. It reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) and subtle woody notes, with a touch of vanilla and spices. The palate is full, velvety, and well-balanced, with silky tannins and a long, persistent finish.

The second wine of Pédesclaux unfolds like a flower that blooms as soon as you approach it. Dominated by Merlot, it presents a delicate and soft style, with a silky texture and voluptuous body.

A red wine to enjoy now.

The estate and vineyard:

Classified as a 5th Grand Cru of Pauillac, Château Pédesclaux was founded in the early 19th century by Urbain-Pierre Pédesclaux, a wine broker. In 2009, the Lorenzetti family took over the estate, propelling it to excellence by equipping it with modern and innovative facilities. In 2014, a new gravity-fed winery designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte was built. Then, in 2018, Manon Lorenzetti took the reins of the estate, bringing fresh dynamism and energy to the property.

Château Pédesclaux covers 50 hectares in the Pauillac appellation, with 46.1 hectares currently in production. Since 2019, the estate has been transitioning to organic farming. The vineyard is managed by Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen, with the guidance of renowned oenologist Éric Boissenot.

Fleur de Pédesclaux, the second wine of the estate, is made from grapes grown on a terroir of Graves garonnaises soils resting on a limestone base. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a rigorous sorting process, first at the cluster level, then berry by berry.
