This St Emilion Grand Cru is composed of 3 grape varieties: 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. CLOS des MENUTS is a robust and round wine suitable for aging, with subtle tannins and a beautiful deep garnet red color, a result of well-controlled extraction.

After aeration, notes of blackcurrant and cooked red fruits, combining power and suppleness, emerge. These impressions are confirmed on the palate. Smooth and round, the palate is well-balanced and structured by firm and persistent tannins in the finish.

The flavors of candied red fruits are complemented by woody and spicy notes. Elegance, balance, and harmony prevail.

Primarily crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, these wines stand out for their depth, opulence, and unique aromas of black fruits, plum, truffle, and chocolate. The "Grand Cru" label ensures a superior level of quality, with stringent production standards that surpass those of the standard Saint-Émilion appellation. These wines combine power and finesse, offering remarkable aging potential, making them highly sought-after gems among wine enthusiasts worldwide.

Clos des Menuts is a wine from Maison Rivière St-Emilion, a family-owned and independent enterprise established in Saint-Émilion since 1875. As both a wine producer and merchant, Maison Rivière cultivates 90 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region. Once limited to just one hectare in the 1950s, Clos des Menuts has expanded to 25 hectares today, boasting magnificent medieval cellars. Renowned winemaker Stéphane de Renoncourt vinifies his wines using sustainable farming practices, emphasizing terroir and environmental stewardship.

Maison Rivière is renowned for its expertise in Grand Crus Classés, reflecting its commitment to excellence and the winemaking tradition of the region.
