The Estate and the Vineyard
The Raymond Family is the historic owner of the Château de Lagarde in St Laurent du Bois, 50km from Bordeaux. Initially, the farm was mixed-cropping and a vineyard was created in 1850.
It was in 2000 that the estate took its historic turn: Lionel Raymond, Jean-Pierre’s son took over the family farm and decided to convert the entire estate into organic farming. It is now the largest Bordeaux wine estate in organic production with 180 hectares certified organic and a know-how that is constantly improving.
The temperate climate and the clay-limestone soils offer a favorable environment allowing the exploitation of the richness of this terroir.
The cultivated grape varieties have been carefully selected to offer quality wines.
