Patrimonio was the first CDO of the island of beauty recognized in 1968. This appellation is in first place in the hierarchy of Corsican wines, promoted to the rank of Grand Cru.

Who does not know the Lazzarini estate when arriving in Patrimonio, Maurice and his brothers and now Christophe who officiates on the estate.

This 2017 vintage is illustrated by a sustained dress, still marked by amazing youthful purple reflections. On the nose and then on the palate, it shines with its complex expression and subtle aromas, mixing candied red fruits, violet, Zan, spices and touches of maquis.

The Estate and the Vineyard

Located in the North of Corsica and created in the 30s by Gino Lazzarini, the estate was born from the successive purchase of plots. Today, Christophe, the creator’s grandson, manages this 45-hectare farm.

Established on the hillsides facing the Gulf of St.Lawrence, on a mainly clay-limestone terroir with a high stony proportion. It benefits from the Mediterranean climate and the mountain influence and granite, sandstone, limestone, sand and clay soils. As a result, the vineyard finds all the elements of a terroir that gives an exceptional wine, classified Grand Cru.

After a very long tradition of rosés, the production of the wines of the estate has turned towards wines of very high level obtained through the selection of the two great grape varieties of the appellation, the nielluciu in red and the vermentinu in white. They give fabulous and powerful reds thanks to a surprising aromatic palette combining notes of black fruits and red fruits with spicy notes.
