The Union of Associated Winemakers of Levant (UVAL) is the organization responsible for marketing the wines of the Marana Cooperative Winery, a group of producers founded in 1975 and located in Borgo, a town south of Bastia. The winery covers around 900 hectares of vineyards and includes about sixty winemakers spread along the eastern coast of Corsica. It offers branded wines and also produces wines for a select few private estates.
These soils, made up of limestone, clay, and colluvium, embody the very essence of the terroirs on the east coast of Corsica. To honor them, they are cultivated with care and dedication. The winemakers, driven by the desire to reveal the true expression of each grape variety, primarily use grapes sourced from carefully selected estates.
