The Estate and the Vineyard
The CDO Irancy is nestled in a valley leading to the right bank of the Yonne, about 15 km upstream of Auxerre. This small picturesque village is the typical reflection of an old wine village, colonized by vines planted in marly slopes dominated by the Bar coast.
Irancy is a robust burgundy wine, mainly made from pinot noir, but it can sometimes be mixed with a very old and rustic local grape, César. Very large and rich, the Irancy has a well marked balance. This great wine of Burgundy gives all its elegance after a few years of storage, which will then express a strong concentration of flavors, a robust structure with roundness.
La Chablisienne, which has been producing great Burgundy wines since 1923, reflects with care the passion, work and love of the vine brought by its winemakers to the cultivation of their vines. This prestigious house of Burgundy represents 1/4 of the vineyard, producing cuvées with a very strong personality in Chablis, Petit Chablis, Irancy, and all other great wines of Burgundy.
