The Estate and the Vineyard
Formed in 1981 through the division of paternal vineyards among the four Girardin children, Yves Girardin Estate initially encompassed 3 hectares. The acquisition of Château de la Charrière in 2004 expanded the property's area to 21.5 hectares. Situated in the hamlet of Santenay-le-Haut, this estate now stands as a testament to the family's viticultural tradition, with the thirteenth generation of the Girardin family passionately managing operations in the charming village of Santenay, in Burgundy. Yves oversees 21.5 hectares of renowned vineyards, including prestigious appellations from the Côte de Beaune such as Pommard and Chassagne-Montrachet. In 2003, the estate expanded further with the acquisition of Château de la Charrière and the construction of a state-of-the-art cellar. It's a family story to savor and explore, much to the delight of wine enthusiasts!
