The Estate and the Vineyard
Château Cap de Merle is a domain consisting of 25 hectares in the Lussac-Saint-Emilion appellation. In the spring of 1966, Roland Bel acquired the domain when it only had 3 hectares of vineyards. Viticulturists Alain and Jean-Marie Bel are committed to offering a wine that is representative of their terroir. For generations, the Bel family has been planting Cabernet and Merlot grape varieties that are used in the composition of the wines. The Bel family oversees all stages of production, from grape harvesting to the direct marketing of the wines.
