The Estate and the Vineyard
The Domaine Des Ducs, located in La Piat (71570 St Amour-Bellevue), is currently operated by Pascal and Laurent, two brothers who are the present-day descendants of a long line of winemakers. The Duc family has been managing this 13-hectare estate for ten generations. The vineyards are predominantly planted with Gamay, but also include Chardonnay, and are subjected to rigorous pruning with minimal fertilization.
Respectful of nature, the estate is committed to traditional pruning methods and the grassing of plots. This focus allows them to produce expressive wines with a unique character, while offering high-quality products that are representative of the Beaujolais crus.
