This red wine of protected designation of origin Gigondas is the fruit of the alliance of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah.
It is in the Rhone Valley that this wine of pleasure is designed, harvested by hand, not scratched, fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated for 4/5 weeks.
True to its name, Le Gigondas "Les Jocasses" seduces with its dark red dress. Very scented with intense red fruits, spicy, with a fleshy and suave mouth attack of a length in the end on soft tannins with liquorice and toasted notes..
Serving tip: Carafe it half an hour before tasting and serve at 17/18°C.
Food and wine pairing: Meat in stew, lamb mouse with mild spices, civets, game, charcuterie, hard cheese.
Year: 2021
Taste: this dense and well developed Gigondas, dominated by intense red fruits, spicy and a note of liquorice, with a nice maturity of structure.
The Estate and the Vineyard
In the late 1990s, Mr. CHAPOUTIER took over the management of the family business, which had been operating in the Rhône Valley since 1808. Its objective is to enhance biodynamic properties to produce mineral and character wines. Thanks to this, he significantly increased the quality of his wines. These wines are then kept perfectly in time. His trading house thus experienced a period of prosperity due to investments in other regions and other countries (Australia).
Michel CHAPOUTIER is known for his enthusiasm and his love of wine and life.
