Light and fruity, this wine is best enjoyed young. The small proportion of Pinot Noir it contains adds a subtle tannic and refined note, giving it the potential to age for 2 to 4 years.
The Bourgogne Passe-Tout-Grains appellation is only granted to red and rosé wines. These wines are made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, with Pinot Noir required to account for at least one-third of the blend. A good Passetoutgrain typically consists of equal parts of both grapes, resulting in a lively, well-structured wine, best enjoyed for its fresh, fruity character.
Food and wine pairing: To be served with charcuterie, skewers, eggs in red wine sauce (œufs en meurette), stuffed tomatoes, pan-seared salmon, zucchini tart, Burgundy fondue, roasted veal, escargots, poultry, and simple cheeses.
Year: 2018
Taste: Fruity with aromas of peach and ripe apricot. The palate is straightforward and pleasant, with a hint of blackcurrant sorbet and a slightly minty finish.
Tasting: 16/18°
Alcohol volume: 12.5%
