Stronghold of the castellany of Ségur, the austere and rural aspect of the eponymous castle described as a hideout by local lords, finally finds its letters of nobility in the expression of a new Corrèze vineyard. The estate and vineyard
Located in Ségur le Château, one of the most beautiful villages in France in Corrèze, Mathieu Puel, also owner of the castle, was able to revive this unique 5 HA vineyard. Established on a bedrock composed of schist and gneiss, the Chenins Blancs express fully their originality. Without concession, without input, the vineyard is completely organic with natural grass between rows. The harvest is manual, with vinification using native yeasts and aging in oak barrels (blonde toasting) on fine lees for 8 months. These whites offer an exceptional, unique taste experience.
