This wine from the South-West of France has exotic fruit notes such as passion fruit or pineapple. In the mouth, it is velvety and creamy, expressing a touch of candied fruit (quince and lemon).
It is excellent served fresh as an aperitif or with foie gras, a spicy or sweet-salty dish. Its holding potential is two years, but the best is to taste it now.
It is known for the mixture of these two grape varieties: 80% Gros Manseng and 20% Petit Manseng. Its vinification is its own: night harvest, skin maceration, pneumatic pressing, low temperature fermentation and ageing on fine lees.
Food and wine pairing: Fresh as an aperitif, with foie gras, dishes spicy or sweet-salty.
Year: 2019
Taste: Notes of exotic fruits (passion fruit and pineapple), and aromas of candied fruits (quince and lemon).
Tasting: 10°
Volume of alcohol: 11.5%
François Morel is the head of the UBY domain. He comes from a generation of Swiss winemakers and a line of Armagnacais winemakers. He expresses his passion through quality wines, while remaining in the simplicity and dynamism of the development of the family estate.
A new cellar was built in 2012, guaranteeing the safety and development of the domain. The goal is to combine mastery and technicality.
