Héritage “An 1189” is a wine from the Protected Designation of Origin Pic Saint-Loup, nestled in the Languedoc region. This bold and characterful red is born from a harmonious blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Grenache, meticulously cultivated on a terroir shaped by centuries of natural forces.
Partially hand-harvested, the grapes reveal a pure, expressive fruit, carefully sorted and crafted with deep respect for winemaking tradition.
A portion of the wine is aged for nine months in oak barrels, while the rest is preserved in tanks to retain its freshness—striking a delicate balance between power and finesse.
On the nose, a symphony of dark berries, sweet spices, and toasted notes. On the palate, a generous texture, velvety tannins, and a distinctly Mediterranean character infused with wild herbs and sun-warmed stone.
Whether savored by the fireside or alongside a bold and flavorful meal, this wine is an invitation to journey through time, where every drop carries the memory of history.
A vibrant tribute to heritage, a majestic expression of nature.

Gérard Bertrand discovered his passion for wine in 1975 and began his first harvests. He perfected his skills for twelve years alongside his father Georges Bertrand. Subsequently, he took over the family estate: Domaine de Villemajou. It was only five years later that he created his own company in his name with the aim of developing his range of wines from the South of France. He became the owner of Domaine de Cigalus and Château Laville Bertrou in the following years.
Its vineyard is located in the South of France, in Languedoc-Roussillon, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. This region is favored by its climate: little precipitation and considerable sunshine.
