This Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Bernardine from the Maison Chapoutier is the fruit of the Grenache grape blend, which is the majority, and also in smaller proportion, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Grenache is a grape variety that conveys sweetness, bringing elegance to the wine, with silky tannins and great finesse.
This exceptional wine from the Rhone Valley respects the typical terroir, and offers a generous, fruity and round wine, also spicy and oaky.
A grandiose wine, ready to be tasted, offering all the necessary and expected taste and olfactory qualities, which will also be a wonderful wine to keep. It is unquestionably one of the kings of the Rhone Valley, see from the French vineyard.
Food and wine pairing: Perfect to accompany a nice entrecôte, pot au feu, a rack of lamb, a delicious pork rib, where also a cheese platter, and why not a delicious chocolate cake.
Taste: The palate is rich and creamy. Beautiful notes of red fruit appear in the middle of the mouth, brings a nice roundness with a lot of complexity with a finish with rather powerful and elegant tannins, which prolongs well the wine.
Tasting: 18/19°
Alcohol volume: 15%
The Estate and the Vineyard
In the late 1990s, Mr. CHAPOUTIER took over the management of the family business, which had been operating in the Rhône Valley since 1808. Its objective is to enhance biodynamic properties to produce mineral and character wines. Thanks to this, he significantly increased the quality of his wines. These wines are then kept perfectly in time. His trading house thus experienced a period of prosperity due to investments in other regions and other countries (Australia).
Michel CHAPOUTIER is known for his enthusiasm and his love of wine and life.
