The Estate and the Vineyard

The Domaine des Coutures is located in Turquant, in a village of winemakers, and has about 15 hectares of vines located on the Saumur-Champigny appellation of controlled origin.

The vineyard is located on the controlled appellation of origin "Saumur-Champigny", and enjoys a generous and exceptional sunshine, due to its particular geographical location, being protected by the forest of Fontevraud. The land, vineyard and wine have been the pillars of the family for 6 generations. After studying agronomy engineering, and also having had several professional experiences in various companies, Vincent Nicolas chose to return to his roots, and to take over the family farm, wanting to continue to write the history of the Family Estate.

The soil is composed of a warm clay-limestone soil, on the tuffeau rock, absorbing the winter precipitation, restoring them during the summer.

The main grape variety of the vineyard is cabernet franc.
