This terroir of altitude marked by stone and a strong thermal amplitude between day and night has always convinced the bourrel family to develop a white wine production on the estate of the château de fauzan. this was done with the first plantation of the chardonnay grape variety in 2004. From this vineyard is born the chardonnay cuvée of the Mas De Fauzan.
Food and wine pairing : A delicious aperitif, seafood, fish à la plancha or casserole de la mer, fresh cheeses and also cold summer salads are a must.

Taste: the nose, expressive is fine and discreet. It develops a palette of white fruits like pear, white peach with a toasted hint and a certain minerality. After agitation the second nose reveals some spice of the type sweet pepper. On the palate, the attack is dynamic, lively and leaves room for an incredible freshness. The finish is just as fresh or tangy on the «harlequin» type candy, pear and fresh butter. A slight bitterness of good aloi makes this wine particularly thirsty.
Tasting: 9/10°

The Estate and the Vineyard
The vineyard of Château de Fauzan is located in the Minervois on a clay-limestone plateau at 350 meters altitude.
A passion for trout fishing in the Cesse River led Albert, the grandfather of the Bourrel family, to settle in Fauzan in 1956.
Located in the terroir of La Livinière, near the Gorges de la Cesse, between the emblematic departments of Aude and Hérault, the Château de Fauzan creates with passion and authenticity exceptional wines. Over the years, the Bourrel Family has worked to develop the potential of this exceptional land, a legacy of the time when poetry was bottled.
