This Coteaux-Bourguignons du Château de Monternot is a Beaujolais vintage, the particularity of which is to be located on a single town.
With its 100% Gamay grape variety, this Beaujolais wine offers us a deep ruby colour. Its ageing in stainless steel vats and in oak barrels allowed to obtain a marriage between the fruity aromas of the grape and those of the wood.
The technique used after pressing allowed to preserve its aromatic palette. We then find a nose with spicy and vanilla notes and a greedy mouth with toasted notes.
Serve between 14°c and 16°c.
Food and wine pairing: to be enjoyed with all charcuterie, tapas and grills
Taste: the nose is fruity with spicy and vanilla notes. Greedy on the palate we find discovered aromas accompanied by toasted notes for a round finish.
Grape varieties: 100% Gamay
Tasting: 14-16°C
Volume of alcohol: 13%
The Estate and the Vineyard
Located 35 kilometres from Lyon, the castle is near Mont Brouilly. Monternot Castle has existed for four generations. They are two twin brothers who currently farm twelve hectares of vines, aged between 10 and 101 years.
It practices an ecologically responsible culture with the use of organic products, with traditional winemaking improved by new techniques. This has given them many rewards in recent years.
