The Estate and the Vineyard

Originally, the Cammaous estate and the Caussarelle estate were two distinct entities, owned respectively by Olivier, the father, and Maxence, the son. Today, these two properties have merged, and father and son work closely together to produce high-quality wines. The estate covers 17 hectares and is located within the Languedoc and Pic Saint-Loup appellations.

Situated between the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, the Pic Saint-Loup region stretches north of the outskirts of Montpellier, surrounding the Pic Saint-Loup (658 m) and the Hortus plateau (512 m). To the north, it reaches the boundaries of the Gard and Hérault departments. The vineyard benefits from a wide variety of soils: hard and soft limestone, conglomerates, dolomites, fluvial limestone scree, and marl. The AOP Pic Saint-Loup exclusively produces red and rosé wines, mainly from Syrah, Grenache Noir, and Mourvèdre (minimum 90%), with secondary grape varieties such as Cinsault or Carignan also permitted.
