The estate and the vineyard
Gérard Bertrand discovered his passion for wine in 1975 and began his first harvests. He perfected his skills for twelve years alongside his father Georges Bertrand. Subsequently, he took over the family estate: Domaine de Villemajou. It was only five years later that he created his own company in his name with the aim of developing his range of wines from the South of France. He became the owner of Domaine de Cigalus and Château Laville Bertrou in the following years.
Its vineyard is located in the South of France, in Languedoc-Roussillon, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. This region is favored by its climate: little precipitation and considerable sunshine.
