The Reuilly Rouge "Mont Cocu" from Domaine Mabillot is a red wine from a single vineyard plot, aged in oak barrels, which perfectly reflects the qualities of the Reuilly terroir. Its nose evokes kirsch cherry, with grilled and slightly peppery notes. On the palate, it is juicy, with smoky nuances, a pleasant chewiness, fine and silky tannins, ripe fruits with a hint of spice, and a beautiful length.

The Estate and the Vineyard

Domaine Mabillot is nestled in Sainte-Lizaigne, at the heart of the Reuilly appellation in the stunning Loire Valley. Established in the 1990s by Alain Mabillot, it is now passionately managed by his sons, Matthieu and Renaud. The vineyard spans 8 hectares and is cultivated according to sustainable practices, highlighting the unique terroir of the region.

The Reuilly Rouge is made from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from a 3.3-hectare plot located in the lieux-dits Montcocu, Les Thaumiers, and Les Coignons. The grapes undergo cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and the wine is aged on fine lees for 8 months.
