The Estate and the Vineyard
The Domaine Mabillot is nestled in Sainte-Lizaigne, at the heart of the Reuilly appellation in the magnificent Loire Valley. Founded in the 1990s by Alain Mabillot, it is now passionately led by his sons, Matthieu and Renaud. The vineyard spans 8 hectares and is cultivated according to the principles of sustainable farming, highlighting the unique terroir of the region.
The Reuilly Blanc from Domaine Mabillot is crafted from the Sauvignon Blanc grape, meticulously harvested from a 5.5-hectare plot nestled between the Montcocu and Les Lignis sites. The grapes undergo gentle pressing, followed by 24 hours of cold settling to ensure optimal must clarification. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is aged on fine lees with regular stirring for 5 months, allowing it to develop complexity and generosity on the palate.
