The Estate and the Vineyard

The Domaine de Marcé is located on the "Sologne Viticole", in the CDO Touraine appellation area, and CDO Touraine Oisly. The family vineyard, managed by Christophe GODET since 2008, covers about 32 hectares. Located in the department of Loir et Cher (41), on a vast plateau between two rivers, next to the Château de Cheverny and about thirty kms from the sumptuous and majestic Château de Chambord, the Domaine de Marcé is located in Oisly.

Its pretty gently sloping hillsides, culminates at about 131 meters, and are turned towards the rising sun. Its mild climate, its soil made of fine sand on a layer of clay, make it the great specificity of Oisly. Sand brings finesse, elegance and flexibility. Clay retains water, avoids the water stress of summer, and brings fat, depth and matter.

The king grape variety is Sauvignon, representing 80% of the production of the Domaine de Marcé.

The estate produces white wines (Sauvignon, Chardonnay), AOC Touraine, red wines (Gamay, Cabernet, Côt), rosé wines (Cabernet, Pineau d'Aunis), and also sparkling Traditional Methods.
