Clos Margalaine is actually the second wine crafted by Château Marojallia, located in Margaux, a term derived from Latin. Its composition of Cabernet Sauvignon is slightly lower than that of the primary wine, comprising 64% of this grape variety and 36% Merlot, sourced from 4 hectares of exceptional deep gravel terroir. Following manual harvesting, the grapes undergo vinification in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, and then mature in new French oak barrels.
This Margaux offers a subtle balance of elegance and finesse, enhanced by its aromas of black fruits, making it an excellent wine for gastronomy.

The Estate and the Vineyard
This Margaux, produced in the commune of Arsac by Mr. Philippe Porcheron, is situated on a 4-hectare terroir of deep gravel, amidst Château Le Tertre and Monbrison.
In 2001, Philippe Porcheron established Château Marojallia, with the expert advice of Muriel Andraud and Jean-Luc Thunevin, aiming to create an exceptional Margaux from a small micro-terroir of 5.8 hectares, initiated in 1999. Subsequently, he expanded his estate by acquiring the Pavillon de Margaux, a hotel located in close proximity to Château Marojallia. In addition to its renowned Margaux, the estate also offers two other high-quality wines, Benjamin de Marojallia and Clos Margalaine.
At the beginning of 2023, the Philippe Porcheron Estates, including Château Marojallia, Pavillon de Margaux, and Château Bouqueyran, were acquired by Château Marquis de Terme, owned by the Sénéclauze family. However, brands such as Château Marojallia, Benjamin de Marojallia, and others associated with wines produced in the estates sold to Marquis de Terme will remain the property of Philippe Porcheron.
Clos Margalaine is the second wine of Château Marojallia, vinified in small quantities, in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and aged in new French oak barrels.
