Made from Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, this red wine beautifully expresses the generosity and elegance of the great terroirs of the Rhône Valley.

Born from the stony terraces and sun-drenched hillsides of Vacqueyras, Le Mourre de la Caille 2023 is an organic red wine that perfectly reflects the character of its appellation. Its expressive bouquet reveals enticing aromas of Morello cherry, wild strawberry, and sweet spices, offering both freshness and complexity.

Crafted in the heart of the Rhône Valley, this highly enjoyable wine remains true to the spirit of Vacqueyras. Its deep ruby color is complemented by aromas of ripe red berries and subtle smoky notes, while the palate is generous, full-bodied, and beautifully structured.

The Estate and the Vineyard

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Dentelles de Montmirail, the Famille Bernard Vineyards have embodied a passion for winemaking and a deep connection to their Provençal land for five generations. Established in Beaumes-de-Venise since the 19th century, the Bernard family has carefully preserved its heritage while embracing a modern and environmentally responsible approach to viticulture. Today, Philippe Bernard and his wife Élisabeth continue this family tradition through Domaine La Ligière, a benchmark estate among the renowned appellations of the Southern Rhône.

The vineyard spans more than 60 hectares, covering prestigious appellations such as Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Beaumes-de-Venise, and Côtes-du-Rhône. This mosaic of terroirs, composed of rolled pebbles, clay, limestone, and sandy soils, provides exceptional diversity and allows the production of wines that are both powerful, elegant, and deeply expressive of their origin.

Committed to certified organic viticulture since 2013, the Bernard family cultivates its vineyards with the utmost respect for nature. Grapes are harvested with great care, fermentations rely on indigenous yeasts, and each cuvée is crafted with the goal of expressing the unique identity of its terroir. This philosophy gives rise to authentic, generous, and expressive wines, where fruit, freshness, and balance always take center stage.

More than simply a wine estate, the Famille Bernard Vineyards tell a story of heritage, passion, and love for the Southern Rhône. Every bottle reflects a living family legacy, shaped by generations of winemakers and by exceptional terroirs bathed in sunshine and swept by the famous mistral winds.
