The Vieilles Vignes AOP Saint-Chinian Rouge from Château Saint-Martin des Champs is a distinctive wine showcasing the estate's oldest vineyards. Crafted from a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, it comes from old vines grown on clay-limestone hillsides with low yields to ensure exceptional concentration and fruit quality. The grapes are hand-harvested, and after a long, carefully managed vinification, the wine is aged for 14 months in a combination of concrete tanks and oak barrels.

Powerful yet beautifully balanced, this wine can be enjoyed now after a short period of decanting, but it also offers excellent ageing potential of 6 to 8 years, during which it will develop even greater complexity.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour with amber highlights.

Presented in its original wooden gift case.

The Estate and the Vineyard

Château Saint Martin des Champs is located in Languedoc, a few kilometers from the Mediterranean. This château was built in the 17th century and has seen 12 generations of winemakers from the Birot family, who have been winemakers from father to son since 1675 on a 95-hectare estate.

The wines of Château Saint Martin des Champs are known and highly appreciated worldwide. You can find them on the most prestigious tables, including the Élysée Palace, the White House, the National Assembly, and many others.

The cellars of the Château combine tradition and technology. Michel Birot takes care of the vineyard and its cultivation, working with passion, love, and rigor to produce quality grapes, which are essential elements for the quality of the wines.

His son, Pierre, a trained oenologist, is responsible for the vinification, aging, and bottling of the wines, aiming to offer wines of the highest quality.

Château Saint Martin des Champs is above all a beautiful family story.
