The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge, from the prestigious terroir of Les Champs de Morjot and crafted by Château de la Charrière under the direction of Yves Girardin, offers a fine expression of Burgundian Pinot Noir.

With a deep ruby red color, this wine reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruits—cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry—blended with delicate notes of spice, forest floor, and subtle oak.

Hand-harvested and carefully vinified, this wine benefits from aging in French oak barrels, which adds roundness and delicate vanilla notes without masking the purity of the fruit.

An intense and refined Chassagne-Montrachet, this Pinot Noir from Les Champs de Morjot fully expresses the richness of the Burgundian terroir. A cuvée to be enjoyed without delay, captivating with its roundness and perfect balance!

The Estate and the Vineyard

The viticultural tradition of the GIRARDIN family dates back 13 generations, and the estate flourished in the 1960s thanks to the initiative of Jean GIRARDIN, who notably acquired Château de la Charrière. Having grown up among the vines and in the cellar, Yves developed a passion for the art of winemaking. In 1981, the 12-hectare family estate was divided, leaving Yves in charge of a 3-hectare operation. Eager to broaden his horizons and diversify the range of appellations, he invested in vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard, increasing the total area to 21.5 hectares. In 2003, Yves acquired Château de la Charrière, a long-standing family property, and expanded the activities by building a new winery. In 2011, Benoît returned to the estate after studying in Beaune and Bordeaux, with the goal of continuing the family legacy and expertise.

Vinifications are carried out manually, and careful observation and management of the vines allow for minimal use of chemicals. The barrels used are exclusively made from French oak.
