An impressive Chassagne-Montrachet 2024, blending concentration, richness, and structure, with a distinctive chalky imprint and a persistent saline finish. From the first whiff, this 100% Chardonnay captivates with its intense bouquet: an intoxicating fusion of citrus, white-fleshed fruits, and delicate toasted notes. On the palate, it offers an opulent and full-bodied experience, prolonged by a remarkable aromatic persistence. Aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, it fully reveals the greatness of its clay-limestone terroir, thus enhancing its unique character.

The harvest is manual with direct pressing and cold settling between 24 and 36 hours.

The Estate and the Vineyard

The viticultural tradition of the GIRARDIN family dates back 13 generations, and the estate flourished in the 1960s thanks to the initiative of Jean GIRARDIN, who notably acquired Château de la Charrière. Having grown up among the vines and in the cellar, Yves developed a passion for the art of winemaking. In 1981, the 12-hectare family estate was divided, leaving Yves in charge of a 3-hectare operation. Eager to broaden his horizons and diversify the range of appellations, he invested in vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard, increasing the total area to 21.5 hectares. In 2003, Yves acquired Château de la Charrière, a long-standing family property, and expanded the activities by building a new winery. In 2011, Benoît returned to the estate after studying in Beaune and Bordeaux, with the goal of continuing the family legacy and expertise.

Vinifications are carried out manually, and careful observation and management of the vines allow for minimal use of chemicals. The barrels used are exclusively made from French oak.
