The Estate and the Vineyard
Château Galoupet has held the prestigious Cru Classé status in Provence since 1955. Situated on 72 hectares of rocky hillsides by the sea, it stands as one of the largest wine estates in the appellation. Its diverse vineyard is home to Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Syrah, Tibouren, Rolle, Sémillon, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Calladoc, and Carignan.
Rosé wines make up the majority of production at 70%, followed by reds at 20% and whites at 10%. The Cru Classé is crafted in all three colors. Over the past two centuries, it has undergone numerous changes in ownership, totaling 14 transitions.
The vineyard has been divided into around forty plots, featuring 6 grape varieties. The estate was acquired by Moët et Hennessy, part of the LVMH group.
