The Paradella AOP Patrimonio estate is operated by a young winemaker Lionel Wojcik in search of excellence. After years of training in Bordeaux with a special attachment to the Alverne Castle in Saint Emilion, Lionel was able to adapt the techniques learned on the continent to produce on the Family Corsican estate crus of excellence. Composed of 90% Niellucciu and 10% grenache, the wine is aged in new barrels (Radoux Blend) for 16 to 20 months.
This choice of high quality allows both to sublimate the fruit but also to obtain a rich balance between the different elements thanks to the migration of oxygen through completely homogeneous oak seeds. This 2019 vintage is a beautiful vintage where the fruit explodes in the mouth with a very nice length.
It is presented in a superb wooden crate.

Mouth: Explosive on the fruit, and nice length at the end of the mouth (nuts, smoked, grilled).
The Estate and the Vineyard
Managed by Lionel Wojcik since 2015, the Paradella vineyard (7.3 ha) is located on an exceptional clay-limestone terroir at the foot of the limestone cliffs separating Patrimonio from the sea and offering the appellation its unique microclimate. 6 hectares are reserved for red wine (Niellucciu and Grenache) and 1.3 hectares for white wine (Vermentinu). It consists mainly of Niellucciu (90%) relying on a small share of Grenache (10%) in compliance with the appellation. All the viticultural work is conducted in a reasoned approach within the framework of a Patrimonio appellation that banned glyphosate.
Malolactic fermentation is carried out in new barrels. The wine is then aged in new barrels (Radoux Blend) for 16 to 20 months. This choice of high quality allows both to sublimate the fruit but also to obtain a rich balance between the different elements thanks to the migration of oxygen through completely homogeneous oak seeds. No doubt excellence will take this promising young winemaker far.
